Laura Callahan, Director & HR Consultant
With over 15 years’ international experience in HR and recruitment and a passion for investing in people, Laura founded Willow HR to make HR support flexible and accessible for all businesses, large and small. A strategic and rebellious thinker (and once a keen amateur kickboxer), Laura is not afraid to challenge tradition and take a different approach. Her only weakness is a tendency to drop the occasional F-bomb.
Laura Collins, HR Lead Consultant
An HR generalist with a wealth of knowledge, Laura has a talent for managing the most complex HR situations with fairness and pragmatism. Her experience handling anything from restructures to Trade Union negotiations makes her indispensable to us and to you. Laura’s level head is also much in demand when she bravely helps on her children’s school trips.
Portia McCahill, Resourcing & Recruitment Lead
If you’ve got talent, Portia will find you. An experienced, strategic recruiter and our go-to person for employer branding, Portia has a passion for putting the best people in the right roles. She might have lived in seven different countries, been to nine schools and flown a plane, but she is happiest in front of the fire with her dog, Bear.
Suzie Mendes, Senior HR Consultant
Suzie has more years of experience in HR and recruitment than she’d care to admit, but we will say that the 2012 Olympics features on her CV. Suzie now brings unwavering know-how, oodles of value and absolute calm to our most challenging projects at Willow HR. Suzie loves gardening, although she says she’s rubbish at it. We can’t imagine Suzie is rubbish at anything.
Mihaela Reade, HR Consultant
Organised, diligent, and proactive, Mihaela has extensive experience working in HR, facilities, sales, and marketing. With a talent for gaining insight and a passion for supporting clients to achieve the maximum potential from their workforce, we are strongly discouraging Mihaela’s thoughts about moving to the Isles of Scilly.
Kate Myrie, Business Development Manager
A communications specialist turned digital connoisseur, Kate is instrumental in supporting the growth of Willow HR, while keeping us all organised and connected. Kate says she finds joy in building flat-pack furniture (perhaps that’s where her skill for creative problem-solving comes from) but we suspect she’s actually happiest at a party.
Jorgie Brophy, Resourcing Consultant
Known for immediately putting everyone at ease, Jorgie is a highly skilled recruiter with a talent for building positive and personable relationships. If you have a vacancy, Jorgie will find the right person to fill it, and you’re guaranteed to get a good chat in the process. Jorgie loves what she does now, but when she grows up, she wants to be Taylor Swift.
Jo Clarke, HR & Resourcing Consultant
With a background in research and an interest in archaeology, Jo leaves no stone unturned when it comes to digging out talent. A people person with an inquisitive nature, we count on Jo’s problem-solving skills to place the best candidates in the right roles. What we hadn’t realised, is how much Jo loves castles.
Hannah Hawkes, Resourcer
Hannah joined us as a sociology graduate, and she’s one to keep. Not only is she people-focused with an exceptional ability to perfectly match candidates and clients, but she’s also flying through her CIPD qualifications. Just don’t let her near the pick-and-mix — she’s a sucker for a fizzy cola bottle.
